Commissioned for a large atrium filled with shops and restaurants, Another Sky serves as a bold monochromatic visual counterpoint to the busyness of Las Vegas. Cascading from the large skylight overhead, the fiber art installation pours into the atrium bringing the bright blue desert sky indoors. The piece contains 32 miles of satin ribbon in 15 varying shades of blue, green and purple. “My wish is to have the visitors experience art in a transformative way as they are surrounded by the enormity of moving pathways of vibrant blues,” shares Patterson.
